I’m Keya, a product designer based in The Hague and Mumbai. I graduated cum laude from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, with a 10 on my graduation project at Fabrique, and I love what design can do for people.

I’ve always wanted to know why. Why is this confusing? Why did someone give up halfway through? That curiosity is what pulled me into UX in the first place. I love a discipline that makes the world a little clearer, easier, and kinder for the people in it. I’m drawn to products that are complicated, high-stakes, or just messy, where the real work is deciding what to connect, what to cut, and what people actually need to see. 

My process is really just my personality put to work. I listen before I sketch, I stay curious long after the easy answers run out, and as a perfectionist, I sweat the details and connections nobody notices. The artist in me insists that something should feel good too, not just function, which makes me, above all, a maker. Creating is how I make sense of the world. Give me a problem and I’ll want to build my way through it, and I won’t stop until it works and looks beautiful. Away from the screen, I draw, photograph, design graphics, sculpt gifts for friends, and 3D print things I use every day, bringing those same instincts into my work.

I’m happiest when I’m building something, ideally in a room full of people doing the same. At university, I was a student ambassador for our Makerspace, design head of our course’s student organisation, a first-year guide, and a teaching assistant, always the one pitching in wherever help was needed. At Fabrique, I loved being surrounded by talented people who made me sharper, and the best ideas came from sketching, debating, and critiquing together. At my graduation, the head of my course told me “everyone needs a Keya in their team,” which I strive to prove true every day.

I’m looking for a hands-on design team where I can keep growing my craft and contribute from day one.
